Research Notes

WARNING: There is a difference of opinion as to his birth date.
f-a-g has no source, no photo of headstone.
Census records, 2 have him born 1794 and then the 1870 is 1797...

After this census they moved to Indiana. HOWEVER, in Wilkes County there is still a HENRY HAYES age 40-50 and listed along with Henry are a female 30-40 and 10 kids from under5 to male 20-30 the oldest.? GUESS they could have moved after the North Carolina census and before the Indiana census to be counted again?

There are 2 Henry Hayes in Indiana that match the ages of Henry-Jane-Sallie and Amanda. One in Wayne Township and one in Linking Township..

Hello

this is not Henry Hayes, This is Henry Hays the son of Reuben Hays and Elizabeth Adams. This Henry married the daughter of his mothers brother; Jane Adams daughter of Henry Adams & Susannah Mitchell.

The correct Henry Hayes is Henry Horne Hayes and married Frances Johnson and his parent were Henry Hayes and Keziah Campbell. Thank You
