Biography

Ransom was born about 1805 in Caldwell County, North Carolina.[1]

Ransom married Sarah Greene on 10 October 1835 in Ashe County, North Carolina.[citation needed]

Ransom and his family were living in Boone District, Watauga County, North Carolina in 1850[2] and 1860. In his household are his wife Sally and children: John, Thomas, Nancy, Sarah, Ransom, Richard, and George.[3]

He passed away in April 1868 in Watauga County, North Carolina and is buried in Hayes-Bryan Cemetery, Watauga County.[1]

Hays-5461 and Hayes-3782 appear to represent the same person because: they share the same vital statistics, the same parents, the same siblings, and the same spouse, Sarah Greene. The difference in the spelling of surnames needs to be rectified.
