Suzanne Frances Anderson

ANDERSON, Suzanne Frances – Age 85, of Roseburg went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 7, 1998 from her home with most of her family near. Sue was born on July 21, 1913 at Bancroft, Oregon to Thomas J. and Elizabeth (Price) Hayes. She lived in the Powers and Myrtle Point area until moving to Roseburg in May 1951. On May 7, 1947 at Myrtle Point, Oregon she married Raymond Anderson. Sue was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to work in the gardens, raise flowers, seed potatoes and beans. She was very active in the Home Orchard Society and was very good at grafting fruit trees. She has shared her seedlings with many people over the years. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Raymond Anderson of Roseburg, three daughters Sandra Goodwin of Oakland, OR, Annabel Conkey and her husband William of Roseburg, OR and Sally Conkey also of Roseburg, five sons; Louis Ryerson and his wife Pat on Boring, OR, Joe Ryerson and his wife Penny of Toledo, OR, Fred Jolly and his wife Cheryl, Jim Anderson and his wife Kim, Darrel Anderson and his wife Brenda all of Roseburg, 25 Grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren, a brother Fred Hayes of Roseburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Andrew Ryerson, Jr. who died at birth. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. At Long & Shukle Memorial Chapel. Private interment will follow in the Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Mercy Hospice, 2700 Stewart Parkway, Roseburg, OR 97470. A special thanks goes to Madelin Durham for her compassion and care during Sue's final days. LONG & SHUKLE MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
