Biography

John Wesley Hayes was born on December 25, 1851 in Wayne County, Tennessee to William R. Hayes and Sarah Elizabeth Allen.

John married Huldah Grimes on January 5, 1872 in Lewis County, Tennessee. John and Huldah had four known children. William, Sarah, Allen and Hauty. All born in Lewis County, Tennessee.

John moved his family southwest to Texas sometime after 1880.

John passed away on November 14, 1916 in Dallas County, Texas. His final resting place is at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas.
