Timothy Hayes was born about 1844 in Limerick, Ireland, son of Margaret (Madden) Hayes and Thomas Hayes.[citation needed]
He emigrated to Australia with his sisters Margaret and Honorah on board the ship Blue Jacket, which arrived in Melbourne in December 1860. [1] [2]
He married Margaret Lawless on 11 January 1873 at St Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne, Victoria Australia.[3] Their children were:[citation needed]
Timothy died on 21 February 1893 in Bendigo, Victoria, aged 49 years.[4]
