Biography

Peter Haynes Sr. was born in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 7 Apr 1654, to parents John Haynes and Dorothy Noyes.[1][2][3]

Peter married Elizabeth Rice, daughter of Samuel, on 2 Jan 1677, in Sudbury.[4][5][2]

Peter and Elizabeth had children, all born in Sudbury:[5]

  1. Elizabeth (1681), married Ebenezer Graves
  2. Mary (1683-1684),
  3. Peter Jr. (1685), married Love Sherman
  4. Joseph (1688), married Dinah Rice, then Mary Gates
  5. Mary (1690), married Hezekiah Rice
  6. Sarah (1693), married Daniel Moore
  7. Daniel (1695/6), married Lydia Russell
  8. Esther (1697/8), married Gershom Rice
  9. Phineas (1700), military service, never married

Peter wrote a detailed will on 13 April 1739, mentioning many family members.[6] He died on 6 Jan 1748/9 in Sudbury.[7]

Haynes-622 and Haynes-502 appear to represent the same person because: Same very general birth year. Same spouse name. Death year on -622 was really "between 1676 and 1751" per bio. No other details in -622, and no sources. Please merge
