The 1886 Easton Town History [2]says "Edward Hayward was son of Deacon Joseph Hayward, of Bridgewater, and was born July 24, 1789. He moved to Taunton North-Purchase about 1713, and February 2, 1714 (O.S.?) he married Hannah, daughter of Samuel Kinsley. [...] He was a very positive man, and the old church records show that several church meetings were held in order to labor with him and others with whom he had decided differences. [...] He was a captain as well as justice of the peace, and held numerous town offices. He died May 21, 1760, being seventy years old. "
Edward's first wife Hannah died in November 1747, and he married Keziah White in 1748. [3] They had four children together.
Edward Hayward and Kezia White Hayward married 26 Oct 1748 in Easton, Massachusetts. [4]
"White: Keziah (perhaps widow of Edward), married Edward Hayward Esq. of Easton a. 1749." [5]
