Biography

Mercy Hazard was born January 21, 1739 to parents Oliver Hazard and Elizabeth Raymond in North Kingstown, Washington, Rhode Island. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Note: The correct expression of this person's birth year probably should be 21 Jan 1739/40 per the Julian-Gregorian calendar shift which affected all dates within the first 3 months of every year from 1582 until 1752 when the British adopted the Gregorian calendar. This is supported by a (barely legible) birth record of North Kingstown, Rhode Island [5]. A January birth date in 1738/39 would be too close to her brother Oliver Hazard's birth date, March 30, 1739.

She married Freeman Perry January 15, 1756 in South Kingston, Washington, Rhode Island. [6]

Mercy died June 9 1810 in South Kingston, Washington, Rhode Island, United States [7] [8] [9] [10] and was buried in South Kingstown, Washington, Rhode Island, United States. [11] [12]
