I have obtained John Headley's death ledger, which is a locked record available from any FHC/FHL, and can also be obtained from NJSA. Record states John was born in Sussex County, New Jersey. Record states his parents were John and Gemima Headley. He died 5 JAN 1853, Tuckerton, Burlington County, New Jersey. Birth date is 26 JAN 1768, based upon calculations of his headstone, which I have uploaded a better picture of it to FAG, that was taken in the early 1980s. John was married to Mary Mathis, daughter of Nehemiah Mathis and Elizabeth (Cranmer/Crammer/Cramer) Mathis. John and his wife, Mary, are buried in Old Methodist Cemetery in Tuckerton, which is now a part of Ocean County, New Jersey. From: Carla (Seitz) Welsh, direct descendant

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
