Susannah, child of Mark Heard and his wife, was born in Lancaster, Massachusetts on February 6, 1774.[1] On April 5, 1805, Susannah married Nathan Wheeler in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.[2] They had at least eight children together. In 1807, the couple moved their family to Vermont and had homes in several locations in Addison County before settling in Middlebury. Susannah was active in the Methodist Church. She died (age 58) on December 6, 1832 in Middlebury, Vermont and was buried there in Middlebury Cemetery.[3][4]
