Jacob married Mabel Kerr (1895-1974) in 1922 when they were both 27 years of age.

Lois Jean Heer was born on 7 October 1923 in Kansas, United States. She married Charles A. Dixon Jr. (born about 1925) on 24 May 1947 in Jackson County, Missouri. Lois died on 9 January 2013.
Shirley I. Heer was born in 1930 in Kansas, United States. She married Jack Lloyd Godfrey (1929-1985) before 1952. Shirley died in 2002 in Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, United States.
Death and Burial
Jacob died on 15 August 1966 at the age of 70 in Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, United States. He was buried in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas. Plot B-Acacia Lawn, Lot 38, Space 6A.
