    This is cited by at least one modern secondary source, here (Bouchard): https://books.google.be/books?id=ua5CBAAAQBAJ&pg=PA188 Lorsch necrology under 18 February: "Ruperti comitis. Hic fuit maritus domne Williswinde". This says nothing about Hesbaye, but apparently people make the connection because Chrodogang was a relative and he had ancestry there.
