Gravestone is weather worn but it was clear that Samuel died in 1849 and was 58 Yrs, 4 Mos and 20 days old. Notes found at the Northampton Historical Society in Easton, Pa. were used to confirm birth and death dates and age at death.[1]
"If the March 15 and Aug. 9 dates are correct then the aged math of 20 Days is wrong. Notes found at the Northampton Historical Society in Easton, Pa. were used to confirm birth and death dates and age at death on the stone."[1]
