John Hemingway, the son of Samuel Hemingway and Sarah Cooper, was born 29 May 1675 in New Haven, Connecticut. He married Mary Morris, the daughter of John Morris & Hannah Bishop, and they had seven children: Samuel, Mehitabel, Mary, Desire, Hannah, Samuel and John. John Hemingway died 3 February 1736/7 in East Haven.[1]
The marriage date of 1699 is an estimate based on the birth date of their first child.

John Heminway, son of Samuel and Sarah (Cooper) Heminway,
was born May 29, 1675, and married, in 1702, Mary Morris (see Morris
II). The following were their children: Mehitable, Mary, Desire, Hannah,
