Alfred Tyler Hemingway was born on December 4, 1877, in Oak Park, Cook, Illinois,[1]to parents, Adelaide Edmonds Hemingway and Anson Tyler Hemingway.[2][3] Alfred was the uncle to renowned writer, Ernest Miller Hemingway. After graduating from Oberlin College, in 1902,[4]he married Arabell Fanny White, 1903, in Missouri,[5][6]where they had three children, Franklin, Jane and Patricia. He received his World War I Draft Card,[7]but no further documentation was found regarding any military involvement.He died, 1922, in Kansas City, Missouri, and was buried at Mount Washington Cemetery.[8]
