Abraham Hemingway was born 10 Apr 1751the son of Abraham Hemingway (1727-1796) & Mercy (Tuttle) Hemingway (1730-1812). He was baptized 14 Aug, 1757. Abraham married Anna (Smith) Hemingway (1751-) 11 Aug 1771the daughter of Daniel Smith and Hannah Atwater. Eight children are listed, no dates are given:

Deacon Abraham Heminway III was born 10 Apr 1751 in East Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut and died 22 Jul 1813 (aged 62) in Madison County, New York. He was buried in the Eaton Village Cemetery in Eaton, Madison County, New York.

"Son of Abraham Hemingway II and Mercy Tuttle. He served in the Revolutionary War in the Conn. Militia. He was married 3 or 4 times. All of his children were with Anna Smith. Their children: Sarah, Polly, Anna, Elizabeth, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Labon, Charlotte, Hannah, and Mary.:
