Biography

Jesse Hemenway was born 13 December 1803 in Marlborough, Cheshire, New Hampshire to Ebenezer Hemenway and Ruth Gates.[1]

He married Lois Richardson.[2]


In 1830, Orlando Mack assisted by his father built a saw-mill about a mile up the river. (Map 368.) In 1837, Jesse Hemenway bought it, and after four years sold to Charles Nash. (p. 137)

Jesse Hemenway came from Marlboro' about 1837 and remained till 1842, when lie swapped the place for a farm in New York to which he removed. (p. 244)
