Helen Henderson was baptised on 22 March 1801 in the parish of Barony, Lanarkshire, daughter of Hugh Henderson and Christian Nisbet.^[1]

Helen and William Watson were married in the parish of Barony, Lanarkshire on 19 May 1833.^[2] The couple had at least four children:
