Ralph Buford Henderson of Sparks, NV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in the presence of his loving family.
Son of James and Lily Henderson, he was born in Macon, GA on August 1, 1929. Ralph enlisted in the Army and served from Oct. 1947-Oct. 1953. During that time, he served 3 years in Japan with the occupation forces and in Korea during the Korean War. Upon returning stateside, he met the love of his life, Gloria Goodhouse, and the two were married on Dec. 26, 1951 in Downey, CA. He embraced life as a devoted family man, loved the Lord, and had a passion for studying the Bible. Ralph was a man of strong faith and convictions; one whose core beliefs were "God, Family, and Country".
He is survived by his wife Gloria, his daughters Pat (Tom) St. John Clerke, Jeanie (Rich) Fennimore, Sandy (Jim) Lorenz, Mary (Hector) Duran, grandchildren Joseph Rydzewski, Faith, Sam and Cody Lorenz, Hunter and Logan Duran, brother Esley Henderson and his children Becky, Holly, and Laurie.
