Certainly.

www.scotlandspeople.gov says that record search has expired or does not exist. Could you post the search parameters? TIA

Thanks, Doug, for your comment.

By "this person" do you mean Henderson-882? As you said, Henderson-882 has come from the merge of profiles, because when I try to look up the Henderson-7262 referred to in comments below, my search redirects to Henderson-882. The marriage record at Scotland's People that I showed in my comment came from quite a wide fuzzy search for a John Henderson married to a Christian, from 1666 to 1680 if I remember correctly, and this was the only hit with a maiden name like Broun/Brown. You are welcome to use it as you re-research this profile. I used to work at WikiTree, but I found the extra services provided at geni.com worth paying for, so I put my efforts into that whole-world tree now. If you are interested in what we do at geni.com, here are some links: John Henderson of Inverkeithing: https://www.geni.com/people/John-Henderson-of-Inverkeithing/6000000023624202887 Christian Hendersone (Broun): https://www.geni.com/people/Christian-Hendersone/6000000023622316574

Scotland's people does show a marriage between a John Hendersone and Christian:

HENDERSONE JOHN md CHRISTIAN BROUN/FR1412 (FR1412) on 26/05/1674 (693 50 / 79) at LIBERTON [1] but I think the John concerned was not John Henderson of Inverkeithing, because that marriage does not appear in the well-developed set of pages called The Peerage, which in an online form of Burke's Peerage. See this page: http://www.thepeerage.com/p43751.htm#i437504 where John Henderson of Inverkeithing is the second person listed.

This marriage exists at Geni.com, but I am about to break that link, and have Christian married to a different John.

Burke's Peerage is a compendium from numerous sources of variable reliability, some self-reported by the families when the publication was initiated, and some with other secondary sources.

This person looks like he is already a composite of several people, who were not necessarily the same person. Relying on another database that was built in the same way may not improve the accuracy of this profile.

Quite a virile 8 year old! A disconnection is probably in order. Adieu, Plantagenet heritage:(

This profile needs to be re-researched. It seems to be built from the merge of several old profiles here, and maybe also Ancestry and FamilySearch. So, back to primary sources, rather than secondary or worse sources.

This chappy here seems to be of interest - different father John Vs. James and birthplace Fife vs. Midlothian (40 odd miles apart) but most other things match up including spouse name and children.

The birth date is too long after the father's death.

The first source for this profile is not publicly accessible and thus cannot be independently confirmed without purchasing a subscription to Ancestry.com.

The second source citation links to a private tree on Ancestry.com. Again this source information cannot be independently confirmed.

My sources for Henderson-7262 were created prior to the ability to create URL links to sources, but do reference publicly accessible sources if you are able to access the FamilySearch.org site and a public library.

The Henderson-7262 profile does have a Research Hint linking to https://familysearch.org/tree/#view=ancestor&person=L232-ZPQ where publicly available primary sources can be reviewed, along with less reliable sources.

Please improve the publicly available sources so I can review them.

Henderson-7262 and Henderson-882 appear to represent the same person because: This John Henderson is the correct son of James Henderson and Margaret Scott. Please correct the birth year, but the death year is fine.
