Biography

Pleasant Henderson 1782 1837 This family has not been well traced. Census records show at least 5 sons for this couple. Date of marriage was gleaned from the history in Family Histories, Franklin County... by descendant Harvey Hobbs Henderson.

Birth

1780 (1782): Rockingham County was not cut from Guilford until after this date. Descendants recalled that after her father was killed by Indians in Kentucky in 1780, Pleasant Henderson's mother Betsy Calloway Henderson refused to return again to Boonsborough.

Death

(1837): McMinnville, Warren, Tennessee, United States. The compilers of "Tennessee Records..." believed that Pleasant and wife and parents Samuel and Betsy were all buried in the Old Cemetery at McMinnville; however, this family did not mark their graves, so burial places are unknown.
