(From Lewis and Lewis, "Hendersons of Halifax County") 24 Nov 1846 Halifax Co., VA Chancery, 1853-052: Osborn vs. Sarah Henderson. Tlhis Chancery case was brought to divide the 233 acres estate of Polly Farmer, who was unmarried and without children, and intestate. She was the sister of Sally Farmer, wife of William Henderson. Osborn was the husband of Mary Henderson, daughter of William Henderson and Sarah Farmer. Sarah Henderson was the daughter of William Henderson and Sarah Farmer. This case give the relationships of several generations of Farmers and Hendersons.
