Biography

Rebecca Hendricks was born in 1705 in Delaware Township, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of John Hendricks and Rebeckah Groesbeck. Rebecca passed away age about 69 in 1774 in Caswell County, North Carolina.

Rebecca married Lawrence Bankston Sr., son of Andrew Bengtsson and Gertrude Lars Boore, in 1727 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Lawrence was born in 1704 in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania and died in 1774 in Caswell County, North Carolina at age about 70.
Children from this marriage were:

  1. Andrew Bankston was born about 1727 in York County, Pennsylvania and died about 1783 in Montgomery County, North Carolina about age 56. Andrew married Ann Adair (b. About 1740, d. Deceased)
  2. Anne Bankston was born about 1731. Anne married James Lea about 1747 in King and Queen County, Virginia. James was born about 1716.
  3. Daniel Bankston was born about 1733 in York County, Pennsylvania and died in 1811 in Morgan County, Georgia about age 78.
  4. Peter Bankston was born in 1735 in York County, Pennsylvania and died in 1803 in Clarke County, Georgia at age 68. Peter married Priscilla maiden name unknown (b. About 1730) about 1752
  5. Lawrence Bankston was born about 1737 and died before 1784.
  6. Jacob Bankston was born about 1739 in York County, Pennsylvania and died in 1817 in Clarke County, Georgia about age 78. Jacob married Elinor Cox on June 14, 1753 in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania . Elinor was born about 1735.

Hendricks-2325 and Hendricks-1366 appear to represent the same person because: Same husband, etc. Only serious difference is -1366 has parents, -2325 has none.

Father removed as he was unsourced and only 4 when she was born....it may be a brother.
