Biography

John Hendrix, the son of Allen Hendricks and Lavina Howard was born 3 Aug 1833 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, United States. He died 4 December 1920 (aged 87) in Randolph County, Missouri, United States and was buried at New Hope Cemetery in Clark, Randolph County, Missouri, United States. [1]

In 1850 John Hendrix, age 16 was living in the household of his parents Alvin, 60 and Malvina Hendrix, 47 in Prairie Township, Randolph, Missouri, United States. Others in the household included his siblings Nancy Hendrix, 14 years Sarah Hendrix, 12 years James Hendrix, 10 years Susan Hendrix, 8 years and Thomas H Sterne, half brother, age 21[2]

In 1860 John Hendrix, age 26 was living at home with his parents Allen Hendrix, 69 mother, V (Malvina) Hendrix, 56 and three siblings in Prairie Township, Randolph, Missouri, United States.[3]

John married Martha Jane Williams about 1868. Martha was born 11 Nov 1844 and died 1873 (aged 28–29). They had one son together, Charles Hendricks born about 1870.

In In 1870 John W. Hendricks (Hendrix), age 38 was living in the household of his father Allen Hendricks/Hendrix, age 80, mother Luvina (Malvina) in Renick, Randolph, Missouri, United States.. Others in the household included his son Charles Hendrix, age 9 months. [4]

About 1875 John married Annie E. Miles. She was born about 1853 in Randolph, Missouri.

By 1900 John, age 67 was widowed living in Prairie Township, Randolph, Missouri, United States with his four sons:
William C Hendrix, 22 years
John R Hendrix, 19 years
James C Hendrix, 13 years
Howard H Hendrix, 10 years [5]

John died 4 December 1920 (aged 87) in Randolph County, Missouri, United States and was buried at New Hope Cemetery in Clark, Randolph County, Missouri, United States.
