Andrew Fullen Hendricks was born on January 31, 1812 in Elk Garden, Russell, Virginia, United States, son of Aaron Hendricks (1781–1852) and Rachel Isabell Fullen (1784–1830).
Andrew married Melissa Ormond (born on July 27, 1816). Their children were:
