Biography
Founder of Abner Creek Baptist Church (in Greer, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, USA). Originally buried in family cememtery on old home place. Graves recently moved to Abner Creek Baptist Church cemetery next to the original church log cabin.
from Greenville Mountaineer: Died at his residence in Spartanburgh District on the 21st inst., Mr. William Hendricks, Sr., aged about 80 years. The deceased had been a member of the Baptist Church for fifty years. He has left a widow and a large family to mourn his loss. (Oct. 28, 1842)
