apparently had a son named Hillary HENDRICKS, Jr. and several
daughters, including one named Elizabeth. The girls appear to have
married near Rome, GA. According to George C. HENDRICKS in
1900, both Jeremiah and Nimrod moved to the town of Rome,GA
(presently Floyd Co.) near the Coosa river and later sold their land to
move to AL near the town of Courtland on the Muscle Shoals region
of the Tennessee river. Nimrod eventually moved south to
Tuscaloosa, Co. AL.
Rootsweb Archiver:
There are a number of Hendricks RW Papers online. The papers for Mary
Hendricks (MD and NC) state that her husband Albert Hendricks, a native of
NJ, was in Rowan County at the time of his enlistment.
Also, there is a "Hillary" Hendricks listed as recieving a pension for
service in the RW. This Hendricks was born in Edgecombe County, and was a
resident of Chatham County when he enlisted. In 1784 he moved to Elbert
County, GA as there were a lot of Torries still living in Chatham County. He
then moved in 1825 to Lawrence County, Alabama. In 1840 he moved to
Yalobusha County, Mississippi to be near his son Jeremiah Hendricks.
