Violet Bell Hendrix was born on 29 Jun 1817 in Marion, Tennessee to parents Luke Hendrix and Frances (Fanny) Standifer. She married Rev. Jesse Jones Griffith on 13 Apr 1839 in Marion, Tennessee. Children: Luke Hendrix, Amos Bell, William Harrison, Pernina Pauline, Henry Clay, John Bradford, Mary Frances, Naomi Caroline, Leona A, Preston Moore, Jesse C, Clarissa Alice. She died on 4 Mar 1874 in Hamiton, Texas.
