Charles Heninger was born about 1808-1810 in Washington County, Virginia. He was the son of John Heninger and Sarah Starnes.
Charles married Sophia Napier around 1829-1830, based on the 1830 Census and the ages of some of their children. She was the daughter of Robert Napier and Nancy Ely.
The couple lived in Wythe and Tazewell Counties before finally moving into Lee County, Virginia some time before 1850. A very tentative list of their children probably includes:
Juliann Heninger, born c1830
Jane Heninger, born c1831
Sarah Heninger, born c1833
Elizabeth Heninger, born c1835
Louisa Heninger, born c 1837
Tirasa Heninger (aka Tracy), born c1839
Mary Elender Heninger, born c1841
Eliza E. Heninger, born c1846
Squire Heninger, born c1852
Charles died intestate, sometime between 1860-1870, probably in Lee Co. By 1870, Sophia was living in Sullivan County, Tennessee, age 56, living with her daughter Sarah.
