Biography

Charles Henry is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 11 Left, "Le Beaumont", 19 Aug 1785. Listed with him is his 3rd wife Marie LeBlanc, his children Marie Magdeleine, Rose Anastasie, Ursule and Charles Robichaud, the child of Marie LeBlanc. [1]

Charles Henry was born about 1732 on Isle Saint-Jean (now called Prince Edward Island).[2]
He married Françoise Josèphe Theriot before August 1752 in Acadia.[3]
Census: 1752 Rivière-de-l'Ouest, Isle Saint-Jean. [4]
He married Marie Magdeleine Bernard on 27 January 1761 in Cherbourg, France.[5]
Census: Sep 1784 Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, France [6]
Immigration: 19 Aug 1785 New Orleans, Orleans, LA [7]
He died in April 1794 and was buried on 9 April 1794 in Baton Rouge.[3]

    Charles Henry, ploughman, native of l'Acadie, aged 20 years, has been in the country nine months. Married to Françoise Josèphe Terriaud, native of l'Acadie, aged 19 years. Their live stock all told consists of two pigs. The land on which they are settled is that of Joseph Terriaud, their father and father in law. They have sown a bushel of wheat and hope to sow four more next spring.

A note on debarkation said that this family passed on to "Atacapaz" on 18 Oct 1785.
