Biography

Mary was born about 1838.

In 1871 "Margeret" [Mary] Bennett (32) lived at London Road in St George, London with her husband Robert G (51, Annuitant) and son George E C (0).^[1] Her son Edgar (4) was visiting with her sister Sarah E Porter in Shoreditch St Leonard, Middlesex.

In 1881 Mary Bennett (age 39) lived at Clifton Vls in Hanwell, Middlesex with her husband Robert G (61, Colonel Retd Infantry) and six children: Edgar (14), George E (10), Fred A S (8), Gilbert E A (6), Chelgund A (4), and Mary G A (2), as well as servant Selina Sellick (25).^[2]

In 1891 Mary Anstruther (age 52, Living On Own Means) lived at Waterloo Road in St George the Martyr Southwark, London with four of her children: Gilbert (16, Fitter Makers Assistant), Melgund (14, Scholar), Mary Georgeina (12, Scholar), and Domenick (9, Scholar).^[3]

In 1901 Mary Anstruther (age 63, Caretaker) lived in Fulham, London with her son Melgund (22, Salesman Fancy Goods).^[4]

Mary Elliot Anstruther passed away in 1908, aged 70 years. Her death was registered in Liverpool, Lancashire in the first quarter of the year.^[5]
