Biography
John Henry was born in Shutesbury, Massachusetts, on 10 September 1806. [1]
He married Adaline Parks of North Carolina.[1][2] They had no children.[1]
Before the Civil War, he was a merchant operating a general store in Van Buren, Arkansas.[1][3] In later years he became a shoe merchant in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was rather prosperous. [1][4]
He died in New Orleans on February 16, 1891.
