Biography

Etta was born in 1892 in Missouri. (Her father was born in Kentucky and her mother was born in Tennessee.) In 1930 she was living with her husband and family in Pontiac, Michigan and she worked as an assistant chef in a cafeteria. In 1940 she and her husband Chase were living in Camden Twp., Missouri.

Chase died in 1954 and is buried in Missouri. [1]

She married Oscar Melby on 23 November 1959 in Oakland Co., Michigan. [2]
