Biography

Donald Hibel Henry was born in [1]1896 in Cobargo, New South Wales, Australia, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Hibel) Henry.
He was the brother of Archibald Henry, Agnes A (Henry) McMahon, Thomas Henry, Elizabeth May (Henry) Reed, Frances Henry, Jessie J (Henry) Lupton, Albert J E Henry and Renetta Myrtle Henry.
From 14 December 1916-12 March 1919 Private Donald Henry, Number 3499, served with the 55th Battalion, 1st AIF Unit which embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAS A68 Anchises on 24 January 1917[2].
He married Margaret Ryan in [3]1920 in Newtown, New South Wales, Australia.
Donald died on [4]2 Aug 1962 in Eastwood, New South Wales, Australia, Aged 66.
