Benjamin Hensley was born in 1837 in Tennessee, USA. It is uncertain if he was the son of Lemmuel Hensley and Mary Brewer, as Lemuel died in 1840.[1] If in fact he was in Wayne County, Tennessee, in 1850, then he and his siblings were either orphaned or his mother was Persanna (Mary) and she re-married to Samuel Bromley.[2]
Benjamin could also have been the son of Samuel and Nancy Hensley.[3]
