Pete rHepburn was born in Coppersfife, Scotland in 1801. He was the son of William Hepburn and Christian Smith. He married Christiana Reed in Aberdeen in 1821. They emigrated to Canada around 1853 and settled in Wellington County. They moved to Bruce County in the 1870s.
