Biography
"The Great Migration Begins: Immigrants to New England, 1620-33" (1995) says she was the daughter of Thomas Tapping and widow of James Herrick.
According to James Herrick's will Martha had several grown children in 1685.
She was baptized in 1638.[citation needed]

Martha is named in her husband James Herrick's will dated Aug. 2, 1685, proved March 16, 1685/86. [1] Wife of Zerubabel Phillips — married May 10, 1687 in Southampton, Suffolk, New York

In consulting the article on George Phillips in the Great Migration Begins series[2], it says that Zorobabel the son of George Phillips, b Watertown 5 Apr 1632; m. (1) after 1662 Ann (Cooper) White, d/o John Cooper and the widow of John White; apparently Zorobabel m (2) in 1686 or 1687 Martha (Tapping) Herrick, d/o Thomas Tapping and widow of James Herrick. So perhaps this wife is incorrect.
Martha was born about 1638. He passed away about 1689.

Tapping-17 Martha Tapping, Topping-41 Martha (topping) Phillips, are all the same person ie. 2nd wife of Zerubabel Phillips. She was born Topping/Tapping/Tappin?, married first James Herrick and 2nd Z. Phillips. Anyone know which is correct LNAB Topping or Tapping? So they can be merged properly.
