Emily's parents were Henry Hess, farmer, and Louisa Neunobel. Fred's parents were Henry Roser, farmer, and Elizabeth Weissbeck. Elizabeth Riess and Adam Riess witnessed the wedding officated by Theodore P Langebecker. The marriage was registered on 14 July by John Alexander Boyce.[1]
