Biography
He is called Ezra O. COLE in the 1870 Jackson Township, Columbia County, PA, Census, but is called Ezra O. HESS on all subsequent Census. His father is unknown. His grandfather (Elijah HESS) was listed as his father on Ezra's birth certificate, which is impossible as his grandfather passed away years before Ezra O. was born.
