DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Michael by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Michael:
Hess-444 and Hess-2914 appear to represent the same person because: They have same birth ,death and parents.. I did not upload his parents. But connected to the ones up there. Now they have two Michael's. So confusing.
Hess-444's father was marked 'confident,' since no DNA confirmation statement was supplied. 'Confirmed with DNA' should not be selected before the necessary DNA confirmation statement has been added to the child's profile.
Before marking a parent as 'confirmed with DNA,' please ensure that the necessary DNA test matching information is included in the profile for at least two testers, including where the DNA tests were matched, the amount of shared DNA, and the estimated relationships. Also include the MRCA and how the testers relate to each other.
You can see what is required under the DNA Confirmation (click) topic of WikiTree's Help pages, as well as examples.
