Margie was born on the home place farm in Jamesport Township, Daviess, Missouri, 14 Dec 1929. She grew up there, attended a one-room county grade school and the local Jamesport High School and graduate in May 1949, She spent her life living on the home farm, caring for the livestock, but especially the large sheep herd that my father kept. She also helped with the gardening and helped my mother with the house work. She also had a horse that she bought as a colt and raised and trained it. After both parents died, she sold the farm that they had purchased in Jameson, Missouri, and moved to a rental house on the edge of Gallatin. There she worked as a janitor for a local manufacturing company and later, as she was less able to do the hard physical work, she worked in the local library. She also had maintained a bit of the farm at her rental place with chickens and had several cats also. Margie was a hard worker all her life and didn't shy away from doing what was needed to be done. She started doing family genealogy, I think, in the 60s, though not sure of the exact date. I know that I collected a lot of her information after her death for a sudden heart attack. Margie was a hard worker and didn't tolerate foolish. She never married.
Margie died at the age of 74 on 31 January 2004 in Cameron, Clinton, Missouri, United States. Cause of death was Myocardial Infarction.[1]
Margie was buried on 4 February 2004 in Masonic Cem, Jamesport, Daviess, Missouri.

Margie was born on the family farm near Jamesport, Daviess County, Missouri in December 1929. She attended Prairie Center Elementary School, a little country schoolhouse nearby, with her brother, Roger. Even though there was a difference in their ages, they were in the same grade throughout grade school and high school. She graduated with her brother in May 1949 from Jamesport High School, at Jamesport, Missouri.
She loved the farm and her love was working with sheep. She helped manage the family sheep flock for many years and eventually was the sole manager of the flock. Perhaps, even more, was her love of horses, and she had a horse in training through most of her years after graduation until the family farm at Jamesport was sold in 1960 and the family moved to a new farm near Jameson, Missouri. There she worked with her sheep flock and did most of the farm work after her brother Roger was married in 1966. Her dad passed away in 1971, leaving all of the operation of the farm to her. She continued to farm until 1987, when she sold the farm, due to economic conditions and her mother's failing health. She then moved into a rural rental home near Gallatin, Missouri and lived there until her death in 2004. Her employment for those years was working as janitor for a local manufacturing business and then as her health declined, worked as various parttime jobs in the Gallatin area.
Margie was strong in her beliefs and knew what she wanted and would go all out to get there. She joined the Jamesport, Missouri Methodist Church in 1950 with her brother Kenneth and attended regularly. After she moved to the Gallatin area, she became a member of the Gallatin Methodist Church until her death.
