Biography
Nicholas Hess was born on 18 Jul 1760 in Stone Arabia, Montgomery, New York, son of Augustinus Hess (1718 - 1782) and Anna (Schell) Hess (1725 - <1823).
His siblings were:

From the Will of Augustines he states that his two sons, Frederick and Conrad Hess should take care of two of his children Nicholas and Eva who he states needs to be cared for till their deaths. My guess is that they were either physically or mentally challenged or both.
