Biography
Prince Karl Wilhelm von Hessen und bei Rhein (Prince Charles of Hesse and by Rhine) was born in 1809 in Darmstadt in the Grand Duchy of Hesse (also known as Hesse-Darmstadt). He married Princess Elisabeth of Prussia in Berlin, Prussia. He died in 1877 in Darmstadt, aged 67.
