Viola married William Noah Richardson (born on October 18, 1914 in Polk; son of Richard Larkin Richardson and Mattie Melvina (Green) Richardson). Their daughter was Wilma L. Richardson (1936–2004).

In 1950, Viola (30) was living in household of Noah W Richardson (35) in Fort Worth, Tarrant with her daughter, Wilma (13); and Noah W Richardson (35), Viola Richardson (30), Wayne Richardson (11), and Glen Richardson (6). ^[1]
