Ruth, the daugher of Alexander Hewitt and Isabelle Durrett, was born about 1892 in Ohio. In the 1900 census Ruth (age 8), At School, was the daughter of Andy A Hewitt in Scioto, Pickaway, Ohio.^[1]

FORMER TEACHER AT RICHWOOD STRICKEN

Mrs. Ruth Hewitt Coe of Mansfield, former Richwood school teacher. died at 6:30 p. m. Monday in the Lakeside hospital, Cleveland. She had undergone an operation June 27 for removal of a tumor from the optic nerve. She is survived by her husband, Vernard Coe, three sons, Richard, Robert and Roger, and one daughter, Eleanor. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p. m. Thursday at the Finefrock funeral home in Mansfield.
