Investigation should be made on whether this Edmund Hewitt could have been married to 'Elizabeth', who thence became widowed upon Edmund's death in 1760, then subsequently married Thomas Main I (1700-1771) as his second wife. This interlinking situation is described in the profile of Elizabeth "Hewitt" (1709-1779), whose maiden name probably was not Hewitt, rather is as yet unknown.
