Samuel B. Hewett died while eating his supper at 5 o'clock, Monday evening, of heart failure. Funeral on Thursday at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Hewett being unable to go to the church, the funeral will be held at the house. Dr. Seman Hewett, of Charles City, Iowa, arrived on Tuesday evening and Mr. Hewett's daughter, Mrs. Darrow and daughter, of Sioux Falls, arrived on Wednesday evening.
Mr. S. B. Hewett, aged 77 years died at his home in the village of Brandon, Monday, May 1st, 1893, of heart disease. Mr. Hewett was one of the early settlers of the town of Alto. He came to Wisconsin in 1845, and settled in the town of Alto in 1847, but for over twenty years he has resided in the village of Brandon. He was eating supper Monday evening, when he fell from the chair and died almost immediately, from some disease of the heart.
Mr. Hewett leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss, a son, Dr. S. R. Hewett, of Charles City, Iowa, and a daughter, Mrs. E. H. Darrow of Sioux Falls, SD. He was an uncle of Clark and J. S. Hewett, of this city. The funeral was held from the residence in Brandon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------
