Sarah I Cavness was enumerated as wife at Precinct 4, Llano County, Texas for the June 19, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as born 1858 in Texas and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self D P Cavness, daughter Amanda Cavness, son Jeff Cavness and son John Cavness.[1]

Sallie I Caviness was enumerated as head of the household in Justice Precinct 3, San Saba County, Texas for the June 12, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born June 1858 in Texas. She was married since 1873 and an owner. She was the mother of nine children of which eight were still living as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are son Josh F Caviness, son Ollie L Caviness, daughter Effie Caviness, son Ross Caviness, daughter Flora E Peeler and son Arthur H Peeler.[2]

Sallie Peeler was enumerated as head of the household at Justice Precinct 3, San Saba County, Texas for the April 15, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1859 in Texas and widowed. She was a farmer on a general farm and an owner as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are son Ross Caveness, daughter Flora Peeler and son Hubert Peeler.[3]

Mrs. S.I. Peeler (mother) was listed as the nearest relative when son Hubert Arthur Peeler registered for military service as recorded in this September 12, 1918 United States World War I Draft Registration Card. Her address was Cherokee, San Saba County, Texas as seen in this image of the original form.[4]

Sallie Hext was listed as the mother of Arthur Hubert Peeler who died March 9, 1919 in Cherokee, San Saba County, Texas. The father was listed as R Peeler[5]

Sallie I Peeler was enumerated as head of the household at Main Street Cherokee, Precinct 3, San Saba County, Texas for the April 12, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1859 in Texas and widowed. She was first married at the age of sixteen. She was an owner of a home worth $1000 as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are daughter Stella Nigh and grandson Coy Nigh.[6]

Mrs. S. I. Peeler died November 30, 1934 in San Saba County, Texas.[7]

Sallie Hext was listed as the mother of John Daniel Cavness who died November 8, 1943 in Cherokee, San Saba County, Texas. The father was listed as Don Cavness.[8]

Sallie Hext was listed as the mother of Joseph Franklin Cavness who died October 24, 1961 in Cloverleaf, Harris County, Texas. The father was listed as Daniel Cavness.[9]
