Biography

Samuel Hibbard, son of Robert and Mary, was born in the town of Windham, Connecticut, on 2 May 1710.[1]

Will dated 12 June 1792 (pro. 12 February 1800; witns. sw. 6 Jan.) mentions: wife Mary; sons Asa, Diah (ex.), Milen; heirs of daughter Lydia Bliss, deceased; daughter Eunice Bingham; James Harvey Bingham, son of daughter Luna Bingham, deceased; daughter Lucy Hebard.[2]

Research Notes

The Hibbard genealogy gives 29 November 1792 as Samuel's date of death. Source not known; not found in Barbour. Date of probate would certainly seem to indicate a death later than 1792. (Wife Mary's reported date of death also appears to be off by more than a year.)
