Birth and Parents

Keziah (Hibbard) Bishop was born in Connecticut.

Kezia, the third daughter and sixth of eight children of Ebenezer Hibbard and Margaret Morgan was born on 19 May 1722 at Windham, Connecticut Colony.^[1]

Marriage and Children

Kezia Hebard [sic] married Caleb Bishop, the son of Samuel and Sarah (Fobes/Forbes) Bishop on 19 April 1739 at Newent, Lisbon, Connecticut Colony at the Newent Congregational Church.^[2]They had four children:

1. Reuben Bishop (b. 2 Nov 1740; d. 1775),^[3]m. 18 Feb 1761 at Newent, CT, Hannah Page (1744-1835)
2. Elijah Bishop (b. 16 Jun 1742),^[4] m. Abiel (Unknown)
3. Mary Bishop (b. 18 Jul 1744; d. 1828),^[5] m. 27 Oct 1763, Capt. Daniel Comstock (1752-1816)

Research Note

Kezia Hibbard and Caleb Bishop are ancestors to Lady Diana Frances (Spencer) Mountbatten-Windsor, Princess of Wales (Spencer-40) through their daughter Lucy Bishop, who married Benajah Strong.^[9][10]
